Proven Ways to Improve Your Confidence

You’ve all heard the saying, “Confidence is key!” This, my friends, is absolutely true. While some carry confidence naturally, it is also something that can be learned. If you’re lacking confidence or looking for way to boost your confidence, read on!

Banish Negative Thoughts

We’ve all been there; negative thoughts popping into our head at random times throughout the day. You might think you are powerless to control them, but that’s not the case. You actually have the power to control your negative thoughts. When you know you’re about to have one, or you realize you’re in the midst of one, imagine knocking it away with a tennis racket. Or simply repeat CANCEL to yourself until it goes away. Soon enough, you’ll have a much healthier, happier mind!

Wear Clothes You Love

Wearing the clothing you love is key to feeling confident. I don’t mean clothing that hides your body either, but clothes that make you, YOU. You should love the color, cut, pattern; everything about them. It doesn’t matter where you’re going or what you’re doing, but always slip into something that makes you feel great.

Make an Effort to Look Nice
Making an effort to look nice can change the way you go about your day. For example, somebody who stays in their pyjamas all day is much less likely to get things done than somebody who puts on their favourite jeans and boots. Somebody who wears their favourite makeup will likely smile and chat more, as opposed to somebody who goes out feeling pasty and uncomfortable. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with making an effort to look nice. You may also want to bear in mind that if you feel there’s something seriously impacting the way you feel about your looks, you can do something about it. You can have a consultation with a professional to see what can be done for you, says ROXY plastic surgery. I only recommend surgery if it’s something that has bothered you for a while and you’ve seriously thought it through, through!

Write Down Things You Love About Yourself

RuPaul says, “If you can’t love yourself, then how the hell are you gonna love somebody else?” Start by making a list of the things you love about yourself, and add to it as you grow more confident. Write down positive things you hear about yourself, and try not to focus on the negative.

Step Out of Your Comfort Zone

Getting outside of your comfort zone is always going to be a confidence booster, even if it doesn’t seem like you’ve done much to anybody else. Maybe you could go on a trip alone, or even speak to a stranger you normally would not speak to. Make small steps to do this every day and you’ll go far.
