Leather, fur, layers and beanies. These were the four characteristics that embodied the fall/winter 2013 BCBG Max Azria collection. Sleek, flowing fabrics pared with parkas with extravagant fur details made up the bulk of the collection proving that street chic will be trendy for the 2013 season.
It was a polished and cohesive collection sporting the artwork of Phil Frost in clothing form. The pattern details added a delicate touch to the very modern collection. Plus, oversized sweaters with clutches to match were effortlessly styled with furs. Fur was the main focal point of the collection while some pieces resembled animal print, some were multicolored and some solid. There was also lots of black and white with bold hints of oxblood and blue.
Two best pieces in the collection: An over sized fur coat with grey, white and nude detailing and a tuxedo top with peek-a-book feel and long tulle for added drama paired with leather pants.
Overall, BCBG mixed high fashion with street wear for a bold yet modern collection.
