Tip Tuesday: How to Fly for Cheap

December 10, 2019

Welcome to the first ever Tip Tuesday! Pretty self explanatory, but I will aim to provide helpful tips in the area of fashion, beauty, lifestyle and a few things in between. {Disclaimer, the way my life is set up, I won’t be able to provide a tip weekly but I’ll do my best to stay on top of it.} And with that, on with the first tip!

Today’s tip is brought to you by my love of travel. Did you know that if you purchase a plane ticket at the airport it’s much cheaper? This really only holds true for Spirit Airlines but hear me out.

If you’re in a pinch and want to save a few coins, why not take a cheaper flight? And honestly, Spirit Airlines flights three hours or less go by so quickly you don’t even really know you’re on a big yellow bus in the sky.

I recently purchased a flight at the airport for about $50 less than what it was listed for online. 50 bucks can go a long way. This could go towards a cute travel look or even booking an excursion.

Now you may be thinking, why would I make a trip all the way out to the airport? And I completely get it, but this is when planning comes in handy. I knew I was going to be picking someone up from the airport so I made an effort to plan the purchase of this ticket around the pick up. Another great time to do it is while you’re waiting to board your plane. If you have time to kill before boarding a flight, speak with a desk agent about future flight times and costs. You can book a flight months in advance or within hours of departure.
I hope this quick tip to purchase your next flight at the airport was helpful. Stay tuned for more tips!
