If you don’t know, now you know. I am a Detroiter! Although I live in the suburbs, I 100% support the city and it’s continued efforts to flourish. So of course, I HAD to check out the Transformers 4 set in Downtown Detroit this past weekend.
Other than the fact that the Transformers 4 movie set is drawing positive attention to the city, in its time of what some may see as distress, the movie set is actually drawing crowds from all over, giving nods to fashion and most importantly, giving the city and surrounding areas the eye candy that is Mark Wahlberg!
The Transformers 4 set is located near Grand Circus Park and extends two blocks near Woodward. The set depicts a destroyed area in Hong Kong, China with smashed cars, burning buildings and billboards showcasing Vogue and Victoria’s Secret. Naturally I was excited to see an action flick pay homage to fashion in such a dramatic way.
While Shia Labeouf
is reportedly not in Transformers 4, Mark Wahlberg has taken the lead in the film franchise and is currently taking over Detroit. He recently expressed his thoughts on the Motor City with Jimmy Fallon by saying, “Detroit is a great, great city.” *If you are a fan of Slows BBQ, be sure to check out this clip
I got so caught up in the movie hype, I almost forgot the point of this post…my outfit! I had a fun day in the D with my mom as we explored the Transformers 4 set and hung out at Campus Martius. This is what I wore:
I’m obsessed with my red Converse and wear them every chance I get. I am also in love with my new leopard print clutch I nabbed in the check out line at Forever 21!
